I use teamviewer to get full control of my htpc from another laptop. But it transfers data over internet and it's slow (laggy). I don't like windows remote desktop as it stuffs up the htpc's displays. I have tried unified remote but i need full screen cloning so i can do stuff on it.

Is there a program that can do what teamviewer does over home wifi?

Windows 10 Technical Preview is just that.. a technical preview. If a software doesn't work and you must use it, then go back to Windows 8.1.
