I have cable internet with belkin wireless router.  I have pc with windows x/p hardwired to the wireless router  and laptop with vista wireless.

Is there any way i can transfer file between them !

You should use the "share" funtionality...

Make sure you have the same user name and password in both PCs to make things easier, otherwise it will ask for user name and pasword when connecting - no big deal...

From one PC you open File Explorer ad use the Tools | Map a folder to connect to the other PC. Use the UNC notation, which is something like \\[IP address]\[share].

If you don't want to map the folder you can just hit Window key - R and type the UNC path directy.

If this doesn't work, make sure both PCs are in the same subnet, and there's no firewall blocking this.

they is no tool fumction under file exp in vista

On Vista there's a "Map network drive" function on the tool bar or if you press ALT it will show the menu - including the "Tools" option.
