Just change your location to United States (or is it your language to English (US) ?) in your Windows Live account profile. They don't check IP addresses or anything.

I've got it working fine.

The installer now runs on 64 bit systems.

Mind you, the applications were always 64 bit-enabled, but the installer itself wasn't. You could install the applications by running the installer and using the files found in the temporary folder.

RE: SkyDrive
Kind of correct. Keep an eye on the URL when browsing Windows Live services. If you see mkt=en-nz, change it to mkt=en-us if you want to get SkyDrive and additional modules in Windows Live Spaces.  [The best way to do this, is to go to http://account.live.com, sign-in, and select Services.]

RE: Windows Live Mail
I thought this product was meant to replace Windows Mail in Windows Vista, and Outlook Express in Windows XP?  Or at least 'hide' the older mail client software until Windows Live Mail is uninstalled.

Xbox Live account - helpful tip: (I found this out the hard way)

If you're creating a new Xbox Live username, it uses the country/region settings from the associated Windows Live ID account. Once a Xbox Live username and Windows Live ID (i.e. your e-mail address) are linked, you cannot change the region details in your Xbox Live profile! You need to have the correct region as the Microsoft Points cards and content in the Xbox Live Marketplace are region specific.

Windows Mail is replaced by Windows Live Mail and,
Windows Photo Gallery is replaced by Windows Live Photo Gallery in Vista

The installer will un-install the old versions which are out-dated

No, you can still access them. Personally I prefer the Photo Gallery that came with Vista

Interesting... as you said it replaced Windows Photo Gallery.  But I've recently done a clean install of Windows Vista Business and used the latest Windows Live installer, and Windows Mail wasn't removed.

The installer left Windows Mail intact on my Vista Home Premium PC as well.

Has anyone else had this experience?

oops...sorry about that, I think I missed it in my machine... :(

I like the Live products, they have done so many enhancements and Windows Live Photo Gallery is fast and has more options than the Photo Gallery :)
