So in windows 10 there will be deprecation of metro apps and desktop apps and going forward we get universal apps that will do both.

So for app example: The desktop and metro versions of Skype go away and we get one universal app that does both. Will this mean a desktop view and a tablet view available for the same app on capable devices/machines? [Edit: in contrast to phone where you would have only one possible view capability]

Thanks!

they are called Windows Apps now

It remains to be seen what the Skype team choose to do.  You have to remember that Windows Apps only run on Windows 10 forward, so not producing Win32 means you can run on Win7 etc the most install base of Windows

So Win32 and Windows Apps will be around for a long time.
