We have two Surface Pro 3 i5 machines - both purchased about 10 months ago - and both have developed a faint yellow band on the left hand side of the screen. The band runs from top to bottom of screen, is about 3 mm thick, and starts around 2 mm in from the left bezel. I've had a quick look on the net, other users have reported the same issue.

Any other local Surface Pro 3 users experiencing this?

A friend also experienced this.

A Microsoft support tech advised that it is known and they were part of a bad batch.
Get in touch with them and have it sent back.

Have you got a picture you can upload, would be interested to see? I have had a Dell LCD monitor fail with a vertical line before from the top to bottom of the screen which sometime appeared after the monitor had heated up.

I had a similar problem with my Surface pro.  Ended up filling in an RMA form and following the process, took a week for the replacement to arrive and has worked fine ever since.  In my case the band was an inch away on the right side.
