Hi,

This strange behaviour has started occurring out of the blue... when I login to any account I get the following dialog box. Until I click either Yes or No, nothing happens. Does anyone know what might be causing this?

I recommend you invest somet time and scan your system. You can start with the Geekzone on-line virus scanner, then get an antispyware tool as well.

Yes.. well... both virus and spyware scans turned up nothing..

Its a reasonably new VMWare partition, with very little installed... no data of value either so am just going to ditch it.

Weird though.

Perhaps you could run MSCONFIG before deleting the virtual machine, to find out what's on the startup?

That would have been a good idea... :) too late now, but will try if it happens again.

Thanks.

I realise I'm a bit late, but for the future AutoRuns is also great for debugging startup problems.
