Is Windows 10 up to it, yet compatibility wise?
Does search provide the deep functionality without cortana?
If you've upgraded, would you recommend it to everyone else?

i think your chances are good. but there is a small risk that your pc might be worse off, but that will just be plain unlucky.

When I download the 64-bit tool from this link and open the exe, nothing happens. That is, I get asked if I give permission for it to open, I say yes, then, nada, bupkiss, zero, zilch. No new processes show up in Task Manager either.
EDIT: Whoops, should've RTFM. Need to run as admin. Not a promising start, I guess.
