Hi all

I'll let the image speak for itself (although a bit of background - I've been trying to upgrade to Windows 10 all day only to be told by (admittedly extremely helpful staff on Microsoft Live Chat) that I need to wait my patience until I get notified it's ok to upgrade, otherwise I will continue to get endless reboots and/or BSOD.)

Thanks but no - I've been trying for 4 days to get the upgrade to work with the MCT.

It was going fine (using the USB) until the first restart, then went into an endless reboot loop, only getting as far as the Gigabyte mobo logo each time. Pulled out the USB, then got the Windows 10 BSOD saying there was an error with in the SAFE_OS phase during BOOT or something, and reverted back to 7.
Funny thing is - then a message appeared in the Windows 10 app, saying that there were working with their partners and I'll be notified when the update is ready. It gave me an option to upgrade anyway ("not recommended") or be notified when it was ready.

Earlier today I had actually contacted Microsoft and they "jumped the queue" for me and got the automatic upgrade through Windows Update going. All looked fine there as well until the first reboot when I got the BSOD (not the new Windows 10 one, the bog standard PC one).

I'm not downloading it again until I get the "official" notification that it's fine to upgrade - clearly there's something somewhere in my system, either hardware or software, that's throwing a wobbly.

Breaking news! Well, breaking to me, but in reality 3 days old.

Windows 10 will not currently work with the G3258 (Anniversary Edition) CPU. My CPU. Brilliant.

Specifically, Windows update KB3064209 will kill it dead. In Windows 7 you can hide the update, but of course in Windows 10 it will automatically update.
