I have a Windows 7 PC. It has developed this weird little error in the last few months of not allowing me to click on the contents of some windows, or only allowing me to click on some elements. Like in VLC, I can only click the tracker, not the play, pause etc.

I did a restore point too long ago, and while I do regular back-ups, its sort of a pain because my data changes so fast. I suppose worst case I could restore and try to preserve the data.

But I wonder has anyone heard of this, and is there an easy fix? Kinda strange...

Actually I am going to jump in and say never mind. Bit embarassing but I already solved it. Was either repairing the system files, or repairing the registry.
