Hi

I have this DELL Inspiron 8100 but recently it stopped booting up. It showed the windows boot screen for 1 second then it would show a blue screen saying Unmountable_Boot_volume so I got past that by inserting my xp cd and did a repair but now the it booted up but when I entered my password it gave me another blue screen. So I formated the HHD and tried install Windows again. at around the 40% mark it gave me the blue screen saying PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. So I tried installing windows of another xp cd same thing happend but with a diffrent error. I havnt added/removed any hardware or software in the last couple of weeks.

Any suggestions?

If it is under warranty then get it repaired.

If it is not, then replace the HDD.
