Earlier this year I bought a Lumia 645, partly because it was a good price, and partly because I expected it, along with other Lumia phones to be updated to Windows 10.  I thought the upgrade to Win 10 for the phone would be soon after the main release, but no, it looks like December 2015.  On top of this the list I saw for all regions suggests the 640 and the 645 are not on the list, not just NZ - as the list was not on Microsoft's website, I cannot be sure what the true status is.  At first I thought it might be that Cortana struggles with NZ mangled vowels and Te Reo place-names, but possibly not - as a an ex-Brit that should no concern me.
So, can anybody provide some definitive data on Win 10 release for the Lumia 645 here in tiny NZ?

In short: nothing is confirmed yet. Release date will likely be end of this year and will be for all devices with at least 8GB of storage, which excludes the low end 500 series.

Supported devices

Microsoft announced at the 2015 Mobile World Congress in March that devices currently running Windows Phone 8.1 will be upgradeable to Windows 10 Mobile by the end of this year.

However, the company has only confirmed a limited list of Microsoft/Nokia Windows Phones due to upgrade to Windows 10 Mobile once it launches: the Lumia 430, 435, 532, 535, 540, 640, 640 XL, 735, 830 and 930.

This excludes the Lumia 520, 530, 625, 630, 635, 925, 1020, 1320 and 1520, all of which are still being sold on Microsoft's website. That isn't to say these devices will never be upgradeable to Windows 10 Mobile - indeed, all of them are compatible with the Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview - but Microsoft may stagger the rollout by temporarily limiting it to certain devices.
