Hi there.

Jus configuring Exchange 2003 on our sbs server, is there a particular wizard or somethign that you have to configure to get it running with external mail as well?

I am running all email accounts through the Pop Connector with all settings perfect *I Believe*

Any help is much appreciated.

What do you mean by "running with external mail as well"?

There are a number of different ways that Exchange / SBS can be interfaced to internet email ...

You mean "receive email directly from the Internet"?

If so, then you have to (correctly) configure which domains your server will host, forward the SMTP port (25) from your router to your Exchange Server, and then change MX records for the domains you need to host.

Note that if you have those domains with anothe provider, changing MX records will affect how emails are delivered. If the Exchange configuration is not correctly define you may lose emails.

There's no wizard for these steps.

Hi There,

Sorry for the late reply, was taken down to the batch by parents unexpectedly...

I ended up restoring the server, and changed the authentication to ETRN rather than TURN and it is now working perfectly :D *finally*

I had tried that before but I think that it has to be configured perfectly the first time, otherwise it wont work.
