I’ve been lurking here for a while but now have a problem that hopefully someone can help with.

I’m running Vista home Basic and the Windows Media Player no longer streams local radio stations (for example http://www.solidgoldfm.co.nz/Portals/0/playerControl05.htm)

I get sound off things like youtube and flash (eg the 42Below website) and CD’s / DVD’s but not the streaming audio. The radio link pops up a window and it says it has buffered and ready but no sound!

Anyone with any thoughts?

It works fine for me.

Have you made sure that you have not blocked it in your firewall?

It worked fine a week or so ago and I haven’t done anything to my firewall. The link I gave was one I just picked at random and have never been there before so it couldn’t have been blocked. I have turned the firewall right off, with no success and I am not sure if AVG Antivirus would block it but I don’t know where in AVG you would check.

I have recently installed a Nero trial so not sure if there is something in there that might block WMP in favour of its own player.
