I don't think he wants the RC builds, but ones that are final - the ones that don't show "Testing" in the wallpaper background...

I just rebuilt my laptop so will wait for SP1 now...

Server 2008 final release is available for download on TechNet/MSDN subscriber downloads for the last few hours

SP1 is officially released mid March

I imagine a few beta testers here downloaded the SP1 RC2 build - the one that was made available recently.  Thats a good build to continue your testing/trials etc on :)

I have just logged into MSDN - I was trying before and it was getting Error 500... Probably too many people doing the same...

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

yes assuming things is a recipe for disaster!

Can you remember what build number it was for Refresh 2?

If its 18000 thats a good build number to continue running on until you hear about the "official" release

It was 6001.18000.080118-1840. Many say this is RTM, but I uninstalled it and made my machine ready for the final release Tongue out

I couldn't confirm or deny that

But given its a month and a half before it officially comes out, personally I would be putting that build back on!

In the Connect website for Windows Beta Program, I can see images of Windows Server 2008 RTM,both x64 and x86 versions which you can download. But yea, they dont provide product keys and its going to be in Connect for only 30 days! So, may be if you have access to that, you can download the x86 version.

I removed it because of this Notice Laughing

Notice: The following Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1) builds represent RC Refresh 2 code. These builds incorporate all tested changes up to Microsoft’s RC Refresh 2 date. Please note that these builds are provided for additional beta testing purposes only and may not be distributed. These builds are provided to you “as is” and are subject to change.  Your right to use these builds will expire upon Microsoft’s commercial release of SP1 to the public.

IANAL but it doesn't sound like your right to use it has expired - SP1 isn't released to the public

Cheers
