I've just replaced some hardware on my machine (motherboard) and now windows is saying it's not active (genuine). I had upgraded to Windows 10 3 or 4 months before this.
I didn't some googling but found very few results, but what I did find is there was something to do with the key being invalid due to my hardware change. I thought I would have found a lot more results giving me specific details on what to do so thought i might post this and find out what everyone thought?

Motherboard replacement will trigger that. Contact Microsoft.

If the original Win was OEM, MS could argue that under the OEM licence then that lic died with that original motherboard .

So.. do you tell MS that you have swapped the MB ??
