I now have about a dozen movies which will not play without this mysterious codec. When attempting to play it sez

"This Movie has been encrypted. In order to view u must visit torrentm8 and follow instructions"

I've been there signed up entered email and recieved nothing but soft porn/matchmaking crap.... No codec, No software, Nothing at all to do with the viewing movies. I cant seem to find anything to aid this dilema

  • Sound Familiar?
  • Any Advice/Sugestions/Software?
  • Will be much appreciated

I don't think you should be talking about axxo movies... ahem.

There are many codecs that you may be able to install. Common ones include Windows Media, DivX and XviD, X.264, ffmpeg and so forth...

if you can't get them to play in VLC then chances are the files are either corrupt, or not what they say they are.

Agreed though, probably not smart to be talking about aXXo on here given the sort of people who frequent this forum.

Yep. VLC can basically do away with nearly any media player - and it's legit freeware too...

There you go - the spammers now have your e-mail address. If a pirate movie tells you to download codec.exe would you do it?

Then people don't know why they have lots of viruses and trojans installed on their PCs...

I am locking this thread now.
