Looks like Noel Leeming have the same one for the same price:

https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/shop/computers/tablets/windows-tablets/window-ces101-s-10-2n1-10-tablet/prod142991.html?ref=pricespy

So pricewise - Its appears to be the normal price. As to whether its good or not - No idea...

Probably because NL are owned the big red shed.

Not branded ... which for electronics is always a risky proposition, me thinks.

Not too bad, and you get somewhere local that has to look after you or give you a refund.

Compare with aliexpress and its about 50% more, which is worth it. But 2GB and 32Gigs is a bit limiting IME

would probably be perfectly fine for a youtube/twitch/reddit machine.

Not sure what the storage is these days but my Thinkpad Tablet 2 uses a CF card that is horrifically slow to do damn near anything else.

emmc is basically a SD card type thing but soldered in. Not too fast but fine for tablet use situations.

They are great as crappy computers. I rate much more use than a chromebook.

As far as the specs go, it's a good deal. I've got a 3736 with 64gb and dual boot for 100 bucks more (including magnetic dock), and a 8 inch for 100 bucks less. And I'll have some cherry trails within a month or so. The thing is though, chinese brands vary a lot on quality.

I trust Chuwi particularly, and also Teclast and Cube. But something unbranded - there could be wifi connectivity problems, screen issues, software bugs, easy breaking ports and buttons. There are a few things that can go wrong with a tablet, and with something unbranded you can't search for objective reviews on the model.

The other thing I note about this, is the battery is in the small side for a 10.1 It also says nothing about the resolution of the screen. Could be 1280x800 or less, which would be no good on 10.1.

My personal advice, is unless you can get some confirmation of the quality (have a good play with one, have a mate who ones one, read a review) it could be a dud. It could also be fine - but the variability of quality in products out of china, and the fact that this has low battery and is unbranded - all leans toward this being suspect.

I have a "Late 2014" Nextbook like this but it only has 1GB of memory and the previous gen CPU.

I mostly use it to watch Netflix, browse (using Edge) and its fine for that. It originally came with Windows 8.1 but I've upgraded to 10. It plays the Windows Store version of Minecraft beautifully.

I did see this "no brand" one in the Warehouse the other day and the build quality was sub-par compared to the Nextbook (if you can believe that). The screen attachment mechanism seemed flaky and the trackpad was very hard to click accurately. On the plus size it does have a full size USB port (compared to mine which just has a mini USB port).

If I was to buy another cheap 2-in-1 I'd get another Nextbook (PB Tech has them on sale every now and then).

PS Ive seen the Nextbook as low as $250 at various sales. The new one is a bit more expensive.

If it's the same one they had on sale over Christmas, there's some fine print saying it's manufactured specifically for the warehouse somewhere on the box (I was trying to find some branding).

Looked like a decent deal for the specs

I've got one of these, same as tchart's I think.

Works fine for a low spec item. I've got a microSC card in it to expand save space- good habit to get into with these dinky things.

For me there are two drawbacks:

1) it isn't light. I guess the upside to that is it feels reasonably robust

2) it has a proprietary charge "port" and can only be wall charged. For me the issue is that I use it on the boat and charge stuff there using an accessory plug. This requires the inverter which drains boat battery much faster than the accessory plug.

Other than that I love it. I've ended up using it more and more.

Check aliexpress for a car adapter for it. If its a 5V adapter then chances are there is a USB to it's plug cable available. They dont ship those since they take 2+ amps so will not work on a PC's usb port

The big downside of chromebooks and their ilk is that you NEED an internet connection for most things.

Some of us don't have that sort of access, hence the delight in being able to get a stand-alone tablet.

Thanks I'll have a look.

The apparent problem: the power tip is not one I've seen before- VERY small.
If I had a spare power adaptor I'd cut the end off one and have a USB setup from it.
