Hey guys is it possible to use the oem key on my toshiba laptop to go from x86 home premium to x64 home premium???
The label says nothing about wich architecture it's for, it just says home premium.
I know with retail keys they can be used with 32 and 64 bit but i dot want to pay more than what i allready have for the computer.

You need the 64 bit image from Toshiba - if they have one. The OEM key only works with OEM images.

You didn't tell us what laptop, so there's no way we would know for sure if there is or not a 64 bit option for that model. I personally don't know if Toshiba even supply a 64 bit option for any of their laptops - if they do there will probably be a charge for the shipping, CDs and image.

You will have to contact them to find out - and please let us know how it goes.

surely there will be a charge if you wana upgrade to 64bit. i know for sure that oem cdkeys are compatible with both 32bit and 64bit but whether or not toshiba supports 64bit and whether they'll be willing to send you a 64bit install cd is up to them i guess.
