After installing the last Windows Update my taskbar is not working anymore - where time should appear there's an empty space, all the pinned icons are gone and clicking the Start button does nothing.

I had to do a Window-R to start the browser to post this.

Anyone seeing this?

I had it following a previous update. I had some other niggles going on so ended up resetting windows (via windows-x then into the control panel).

Had this last week. Updated to a insider update and its fixed. But utterly hopeless how a supposedly tested general release update can disable main parts of the UI.

It's been happening randomly to people since launch. I had to re-install last year as none of the workarounds I found fixed it. My partners laptop is now doing the same thing, running through a bunch of "fixes" hoping to fix hers.

I just reinstalled it completely about three weeks ago. It's almost as fresh as it can be.

I'm getting quite annoyed at Windows 10, it works like an android flashed with a beta third party rom. Buggy like anything. I'm contemplating moving to OS X .........

Not had issues on my two devices, and they have not been reinstalled. but understand the frustration it can cause, and sometimes help topics really don't help on other online resources :/
