Just today, I had a lot of spam in windows live mail which goes into the inbox and cannot be deleted. 

I am not the only one...exactly the problem as described in this link...

Only way to fix this is to go into the web interface --- and even that crashed on me too and deleted mail would mysteriously reappear after deleting .

Very odd.
