Alternatively, download the Windows 10 - Redstone 1 - July 2016 ISO (4.3 GB) using the Microsoft Windows and Office ISO Download Tool 3.08
EDIT
The update is downloading much faster this morning (on 100/10 cable):

updated Surface Pro 4 last night - no issues, went well.
Working great here. Used the upgrade tool on my laptop because it wouldn't pick up the update. Desktop picked up the update from Windows update immediately and upgraded fine as well. Might grab the iso for if I need to install from scratch at a later date.

Thanks for the link BDFL
Updated 3 machines last night. Downloads rocketed, upgrade speed varied by machine. Haven't noted anything annoying yet.

tchart: Worked fine on my main laptop.
My small hybrid with 32gb SSD on the other hand said it needed 16gb free. Cleared up 16gb and then update said prerequisites were fine but then throws another "not enough space" error when it starts the download.
Did a refresh of the hybrid and it's downloading now. So obviously needs more than the indicated 16gb.
Use the Media Creation tool and make a USB stick so you don't have to sacrifice space for the download on that machine?
xpd:
Installed on my main PC happily, but chewed up lot more HDD in the process - hopefully most are temp files and can be shoved out.
Running the disk cleanup tool afterwards does free up quite a bit. Long as everything is working fine, cleaning out the windows.old and other files gives you back a decent amount of space.
