It's gonna take some getting used to. We just scored an Acer laptop for a hundred that has W10 installed. I'm trying to guess my way thru some of the settings. Our other Acer lappy has Win Vista so it's a few generations of Windows behind this one.

I've managed to hook it to our home network (I knew networking the whole house would pay off), install Chrome and configure a few things. I can't get file share with the older lappy to work. I wanted to copy the Chrome bookmarks from that one to this new one.

I eventually copied the HTML file containing the bookmarks using a flash drive. Crude, but at least it worked! Of course, if you make an alteration on one computer's favourites, it won't show on the other's. But it's better than having to create all of them over again.
