Hey guys.

So following on from this thread, I got my Laptop back today. The serviceman couldn't log in because I couldn't remember the password. I reset my Laptop 2-3 times and made up some random PW, so random I don't remember it.

How can I now reset my password? It doesn't look like it's attached to my Microsoft account, because I just tried my Email PW and it wasn't the same.

I have access to my smartphone and another laptop. I tried pushing F8 to go into safe mode (To login via Administrator), but doesn't look like F8 was the right one.

So what are my options now?

Thanks heaps. 100 internet points up for grabs!

Edit: Hmmm not sure how to add hyperlinks on mobile. This thread is what I'm talking about in the first sentence.

Try this:

http://www.howtogeek.com/222262/how-to-reset-your-forgotten-password-in-windows-10/

(Clearly the first suggestion won't help you - but the one about booting into an Installation mode and then mucking around with it a bit probably will).

So you know an admin password?  so why not just log in as that ?

What I was reading said just to leave it blank, or the password is just the standard admin/password.

Haven't read too much yet. Was skimming in between work.

Looks like I might be able to hold shift down or something and be able to reset it that way if the link above that James posted doesn't work.
