Anyone installed this yet? It is an option with the latest itunes update.

I have installed it and it's extremely quick. It would have to be twice as fast to load pages as firefox.

Give it a try.Laughing

The only thing I have noticed is that the text/images are not as sharp as firefox.

I don't really think Safari 3.1 is really that bad, though memory usage is sky high (even compared to IE!)

Been using it since the public beta release last year.

Text looking fuzzy and not sharp is because of the text smoothing (can be turned off, or adjusted).

Image rendering has no difference, except in scaled images it's actually better compared to any other browser (just try looking at scaled images on my blog for example)

Me too used for some time and switched back to Firefox Beta (Currently Beta 5). I found webpages to load fast in Safari, but not much plugins/addins and also some sites didnt open properly. FF Beta 5 is worth having it and I find it really fast and less memory usage consumption than FF 2.0!

No doubt about that - I'm using it right now Laughing
