Hi

It should be simple but I just cant find instructions applicable to Windows 10 ver 1607.

When I power my laptop on, I want it to go straight to the start menu screen with the  tiles.

At present it goes to the desktop screen then i have to click the windows logo in the bottom left of the screen.

Any thoughts or links to instructions?

Are you wanting to enable tablet mode?

You can also access the start menu by pushing the [Win Key] on your keyboard; you could write a batch file to do this automatically.

Hi

yes you are right - I will investigate tablet mode.

I am setting up my old laptop for my mother-in-law to use who is not computer literate

So while i have automated the logon screen, i just want the laptop to go straight to the tiles screen as it forms a simple menu for her to use.

yes - i figure there are means for batch file as i have seen references to using this to reconfigure the start menu, however my preference is to use the vanilla configuration of windows to take me straight to this page.

FYI - in the original windows 10, there was a tick box option, but it appears not to be available on this version of Win 10

Cheers
