Has anyone been able to successfully install this update this morning?

I've tried on 2 machines so far and in the stage with multiple restarts it bluescreens on both then does a rollback.

I'm doing it on an HP laptop (with some HP customization) and a desktop PC that is a plain-vanilla install of Windows 10, only thing common between the 2 units is they have nvidia drivers.

Can't seem to find where windows 10 puts the dmp files so I can investigate further.

So I hit restart after posting my previous comment and then left the room. Less than 20 minutes later I came back in to find the PC all up an running with 16299.19 installed.

All seems to be fine and dandy. Nvidia decided the latest driver needed to be re-installed but that went without a hitch as well.

This is actually the first time I have done one of these updates through Windows update and as my machine is quite old I was actually surprised to see the update available to me straight away. no complaints though :)

Only other thing I can think of that would be causing problems is Trend Micro, I'll uninstall it and give it another try tonight

Hopefully my home PC takes 3-4 months to get the new update; I don't have the time or patience at the moment to fix any random issues.

Did download the ISO's this morning at work, but need to create a new MDT environment before I can install it somewhere as I do not think 1709 is compatible with MDT 2013 Update 2 (MDT 8443 has been out for almost a year). Already reading that things are not going very well with MDT, Sysprep and other tools needed to deploy to an business environment...

I tried today on my Surface Pro 4 and got a blue screen and rollback when it rebooted. Tried again and had the same issue again. I think I’ll leave it for a few weeks...

It offered it to me via Windows Update and then failed halfway through the download and then disappeared from the list of updates available. However updated it via the Microsoft website Update Assistant thing.

Was very interested in the "Now you can join your Android phone to your PC" thing. However turns out after sending a link to my phone that the Cortana App that is required isn't available in NZ. You'd think that you wouldn't include something as a big features on the splash screen when you can tell the PC is in a country that doesn't have the required app!

I still struggle to comprehend the fact a company can call something a "fall" update and ignore the fact that's meaningless to half the world.

As per usual, it has reset my power settings, and some default apps. I wish it wouldn't do that.

I'm having fun trying to re-install Windows Media Player at the moment.

So far the update has been a nightmare, and I'm not a happy chappy.

I love that EMET is built in.

With more options that were available in the stand alone version.

Sh\t, I'm almost impressed with Microsoft for once.

When I read the thread title I thought it was "fail" instead of "fall"

It would be great if Microsoft didn't change the order of your audio devices with EVERY major update! But alas ...it still happens.

...and stop installing drivers for devices that mean the device no longer works. (RTL-SDR)
