I have install the WHS on Virtual pc and I have setup the remote access plus the domain.

I've tried to access the domain from another computer but for some reason, it is not displaying anything?? I have done the port forwarding as well, what else do I need to do??

Where can download the PP1??

Thank you

Is this other PC on the LAN? If yes then you should use the IP address instead of the domain name. Or have the domain name in your hosts file.

If it is in the same LAN you can always enable Remote Desktop.

While WHS works as a virtual machines, having to create virtual HDs to add to the machine makes the whole "easy to use and maintain" idea a lot harder. This is more of an OS for a real PC - no need for keyboard and monitor, but still a server.

I have tried the computer at work and I cannot get in to the home server. Is remote access the only place I need to config?? Or there is some area I missed??

Thank you

Do you have ports 80, 443 and 4125 inbound on your router forwared to your homeserver. Have a look at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/7/2/272d14a7-eb96-4dde-a90e-3e5b4bc388af/WHS%20Technical%20Brief%20-%20Remote%20Access.pdf
for more info.

If so, is your work blocking any of those ports?
