Win 10 pro gives error saying you have win 10 home key and won't activate. Microsoft in an online post advises waiting for a fix. 9 Nov 2018. My laptop did this this morning.

I haven't tried phoning in for activation, reckon I will just wait. (Typing SLUI 04)

I won't bother to start up my main Surface until they fix it.
It's our household entertainment laptop, upgraded from Win 7 pro that I have it happening on. Haven't checked the husband's desktop pc or other laptops. But it sounds like every sort is affected upgraded from 7, 8 or not but not every computer has an issue.

Mine just reactivated!

Selected the Activation Troubleshooter, and this time it came up with Activated!

(Got sick of the Watermark telling me I wasn't activated!)

I just did the same and it reactivated.

MS are getting very sloppy these days...

Me too - I upgraded from Win 7 pro to Win 10 pro last year.

I ran Activation / Troubleshoot today and got an instant fix:
