Sometimes I really hate technology!

I have a simple cellphone I only use as a camera. I connect it to the laptop via a USB cable. It ain't flash, but it has worked ok to take photos and copy them onto the laptop.

On Saturday, windows stopped showing the phone as connected any more. Windows gives a beep if I connect it, but under Computer it won't show.

Laptop is running Windows Vista The phone is a Vodafone Smart 4 fun.

Try another USB cable?
Try it on another computer to isolate if it’s the laptop or camera at fault?

Or look in Device Manager to see if there’s any errors against the USB device

I did try another USB cable (shoulda mentioned that).

I finally managed to get it working again by removing the phone's battery. I guess this reset whatever glitch it was experiencing.
