Win10 constantly contacts a huge range of domains, some of which are obviously affiliated with Microsoft, some of which aren't (check your Pi Hole and/or router/firewall logs to see just how much network spray Win10 generates as part of its normal operations). The Pi Hole blocks access to a lot of these because they're just a part of Win10's massive phone-home infrastructure, but on very rare occasions this blocking can cause problems when something like an update is set up to require access to it. So temporarily disabling the anti-phone-home measures during an update can be required.
