I found a used Pentium 3 for 20 bucks, so I bought it. It had windows ME on it, so I tried intalling XP on it. (I formated it). But it keeps getting errors and resetting as soon as the intall starts. The error messages that appear are : "Insufficeint system resources exist to complete the API", "The Path", and Operation unsuccessful". And, it seems to be random which error will pop up, and it resets about 2 seconds after the error appears, then it cycles through this over and over.

This could be anything - faulty processor, faulty memory, badly seated memory or processor, faulty power source... Really hard to diagnose.

Also how much memory is installed on this machine? You probably couldn't install Windows XP on anything less than 256 MB RAM.
