The title says it all. Messenger often stops working in windows 10. At the same time it will work on Chrome. I have had this happen before & then days / weeks later come right again.
Anyone having the same problem or a cure ?

Do you mean Facebook messenger and what browser does it stop working in?

Yes Facebook Messenger & Windows 10 Edge browser.
If you are using old Edge then install the new version which is Chromium based: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge?
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
I am using Edge Chromium full time at home and work now.

I assume it's the current standard version of Edge so I will try this. Thanks.
There's been a massive swing of Chrome to Edge at work. I haven't seen such a swift uptake since the early days of Firefox!
The new version Edge has sorted my problem. Personally I like Edge & only use Chrome when necessary.
I only have the new Edge installed at home now. I would use it at work as well but it is not an option :/
Why not use the Windows Messenger App?

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

Because the OP uses/needs Facebook Messenger. Different apps, use cases.

I should have said Facebook Messenger, Windows App.
I guess the OP is talking about messenger.com using the Edge browser.
So there appears to be 3 ways to access messenger:
FB Chat
Windows App
messenger.com
and not counting Android access. I have a bit to learn :-)

They've overhauled the Windows App for FB Messenger and it runs a lot better now.
I'm really liking CEdge and pleased to see it's taking off (although disappointment at seeing issues with start menu suggestions targeting searches for Firefox, let CEdge win on its own merits!)
Now I just need Sky Go to have an option for setting bandwidth/quality so it runs on the ComputeStick at home.
