About 2 weeks ago I went to the Windows app store thing and clicked to download the free Speedtest app.
It wouldn't install for some reason, and now every day it tries to install it, can't, and says it will "retry shortly".
I don't even care about installing it now.

How do I get it to stop trying?

Normally I can find this stuff online by Googling, but I'm a bit clueless this time... 😳

might be the cache is a bit stuffed - had something similar last week

try the windows 10 troubleshooter

settings > update & security > choose troubleshoot from the left side menu > scroll down to "Windows Store Apps" >  click on it and then run troubleshooter.

other thing to try is resetting the store app

settings > Apps > Scroll down to Microsoft Store, click on it and choose "advanced options" > Scroll down and click reset.
