Has anyone grab the pre-beta for this?  If so what do you think?  I read alot of reviews and it sounds great.  I know its still in the early stages just wanting to get an idea.

if it loads less than 20 seconds it is an improvement if not NO! hope those beta testers could share their findings.

This is probably going to sound blonde but if I download the pre-beta, am I eligible for continuous updates?

From all the reviews and screen shots floating around the place (my favourite site is www.activewin.com) it looks like a marked improvement over Vista, it is much faster, and more stable at Milestone 3, than Vista was a launch.

I'm downloading it now to have a play.

If anyone wants a screenshot of a different part of Windows 7 just let me know and ill make one :)
PS, My copy has actually been activated with a legitimate SN (no crack, nothing illegal) I used my SN from my copy of Vista RC1 I got. (lucky it worked)
And here are the screenshots:

Oh my gosh it looks just like Vista, which is a good thing, but really, doesn't inspire me to want to upgrade next year.

What is the "Aurora thing"?  Sorry if it is a stupid question.

Oh sorry I ment Aero.
Windows Aero

Vista's premier visual style, Windows Aero, is built on a new desktop composition engine called Desktop Window Manager. Windows Aero introduces support for 3D graphics (Windows Flip 3D), translucency effects (Glass), live thumbnails, window animations, and other visual effects, and is intended for mainstream and high-end video cards. To enable these features, the contents of every open window are stored in video memory to facilitate tearing-free movement of windows. As such, Windows Aero has significantly higher hardware requirements than its predecessors. The minimum requirement is for 128 MB of graphics memory, depending on resolution used.[47] Windows Aero (including Windows Flip 3D) is not included in the Starter and Home Basic editions.

I did install it on my Mac but when I tried to install MacDrive (a program I need to see my Mac partitions) it said I needed at lease Windows Vista or XP, so obviously they don't support Windows 7 yet. So in a hour or 2 ill install Vista back on :) (But ill still have my VMware version)

Some more screenshots

This is a screenshot of this feature where if you put the mouse wile dragging something to one side of the screen it will ether auto fill that program to that blue shaded aria. It might be usfull at times but I think it will be more annoying then useful...
