I was considering the upgrade to Windows 11 this morning. But I got the error "This PC doesn't currently meet the Windows 11 system requirements"

Upon looking into it "TPM 2.0 must be supported and enabled on this PC"

So

1) What is it?

2) Can you enable it easily?

3) Can I enable it without deleting everything I have?

Microsoft - How to enable TPM

Of course, if PC is an older one, then it may not have TPM at all.

Frequently asked question -

-What happens if I enable TPM on a running/already installed Windows OS?

Pretty much nothing for most people. You can enable TPM and then forget about it, and install Windows 11 at a later point if you wish.

A good overview of almost every vaguely recent BIOS type.
