I'm replacing my batteries in my wireless keyboard, However, I cannot read/see the size of my batteries

in WIN10, how do i find out what brand/type of keyboard I'm using?  all the searches I find are about fixing keyboards but not finding the name of it.

Sorry - Maybe silly question. But how can you replace them/it if you cant see the battery?

I can SEE the battery itself - But the SIZE of the battery is unknown. i don't know if it's aa / aaa / brt / something else

(I don't physically go to shops & do home shopping, I don't want to buy each size of battery if I don't use them..)

Um - Doesn't the battery come out of the keyboard then?

The existing battery/batteries should have the specs/type written on the battery/batteries.

Sorry - Am I missing something here?

THATs the point - I cannot see the size - I do not know what size is - i dont know if its really tiny text, or if the text has worn off.

on a PC I could press a button & increase the size of text 2-3 times. but i cant do that with a physical battery..

I dont have a magnifying glass either or any other excuse you may come up with

What I *CAN* do, Is go to my PC, type in a few commands & get stats / information.  What I'm looking for is WHAT commands etc...

It's going to be either AAA or AA.
Have you got a ruler?
Alt buy some AA size and see if they fit?

All my wireless keyboards and mice use AA

grab your phone and zoom on in on the battery until you can read the writing......

Get a ruler and measure the size, should not be too hard to figure out from there

Take a photo and use google photo search to ID the keyboard

Inside the battery door will be product ID information.....

Take a photo and post here....

Can you physically measure the batteries? Or compare to a TV remote battery?

They're more than likely going to be AA or AAA, and 1.5v, so swapping them out with any others you may have in remotes etc shouldn't do any harm, especially if you leave one missing from your keyboard.

It's likely windows is using generic drivers, or will only report a manufacturer, not a specific model. If you can see the manufacturer in the device manager, you could see if they have their own companion software which might give you as model number.

OK - Didn't understand that you had vision issues - it wasn't clear (to me) from your post.

The only possibility I am aware of is to open the Windows Device manager and look for keyboard. Maybe the properties may give some information.

Though I have a wireless keyboard/mouse combo I bought from the warehouse.

The properties all just show it uses a default microsoft driver and there is no specific brand information.

You may not find windows can tell you anything useful.

If you have an android phone, the google lens app is excellent at identifying things.

You can point the camera at an object (or as much of the object that you can identify) and it will search for matches.

As mentioned above it is most likely to be an AA or AAA battery.

Take a photo of the keyboard & do a reverse image search. Better yet, take a photo of the batteries & do a reverse image search.

try

Control Panel >  Devices and Printers

See what you can see in there.

Might not show as its wireless and will just show the receiver and not the keyboard type.

or post a photo or use a camera to zoom in on the label on it.

@gordonisnz I am really struggling to follow this thread.

It sounds like you have taken the batteries out of your keyboard but you can’t read the size printed on the side of the batteries. Is that correct?

This any help?

The main difference between AA and AAA batteries is in physical dimensions. AA batteries feature physical dimensions of 14.5 x 50.5 mm, while AAA batteries feature physical dimensions of 10.5 x 44.5 mm.

How about you just take keyboard into local store / IT shop / Hardware etc. Sure a helpful person will sort it out for you :-)
