Hi,

I have a windows 11 laptop signed in as a local administrator account (the only account on it) that won't allow changes to the desktop background. When going into settings, personalise it says 'some settings are managed by your organisation'.

The Lock Screen image can be changed but not the desktop.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Is it 11 Pro? If so, open gpedit, user configuration, administrative templates, desktop, desktop.

Those options should all be set to not configured. I'm sure there is a registry key for that if you're in Home, but don't know it off the top of my head.

Awesome thanks. Was looking around with gpedit and didn’t find that! I'll try it when I have the laptop again.
