I'm doing something obviously wrong, but yesterday I got stuck with the 22H2 update and now I can't find how to run batch files that worked just fine before.

I double click and it tells me to pick a program to run it. I right click and there's no run / run as administrator or anything that I can see.

Any thoughts please ?

Alternatively, drag the file into to a command window.

create a file called temp.reg on your pc, edit it and put the detail in it, and save it, double click the temp.reg file and say yes to the admin rights, after that batch files should work again.

Thanks. The file is saved as temp.reg and the type is Registration Entries. I tried that and it said -

Is fixed now. Thank You. Didn't realise that 'Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00' needed to be included in the file.
