Seriously, some of those XKCD cartoons are not even funny. And invoking Godwin's Law is a sure way to lose a discussion on the Internet.

I thought it was quite amusing!  And no I'm not a Microsoft basher.  I've got a decent shareholding in them, even if they have dropped US$4 a share since I acquired them... :(

But Windows 7 is so much better on my HTPC than Vista was, so the cartoon is at least truthful! :)

You could've at least linked to the proper comic, so the alt text is readable, thats half the content/humour!

Jeez, people are hard to please.  What do you mean?  I can read the text in the cartoon fine.

If you visit the proper xkcd site and hover your mouse over a cartoon you get a text popup which has some extra comments from the author.

Ok, I managed to get through 4 or 5 of those cartoons before I closed my browser.  frietasm was right, they are bloody awful.

I guess if you are a nerd and into that sort of thing they would be hilarious.  But I'm not so they ain't.

Good concept of humour, but poorly executed. Not because its Hitler and he was evil blah blah blah, but because it lacks relivence to actual operating systems.

Something like "Oh, its not too bad, but its a Beta, so not without its problems"
"Still better than Vista"

Might be funnier. Although its not all that funny as much as true.
Of course, I like Vista, but this 7 beta is pretty damn good for a beta.

I didn't mean to come off annoyed or anything, it was more just meant to be a general statement i suppose.

I read them for a bit of a laugh every now and then, some of them make you think but i never read into them too much.
