Hi I need to be able to run a script that changes the vista network and sharing centre setting. Such as setting the current network to Private, allowing Network discovery, allowing file sharing, allowing public folder sharing and disabling password protected sharing.
Any help would be much apreciated.

You can probably do it with WMI scripting, start here for the network settings:

You should also investigate "netsh"... Very useful command line util. Some more information here too.
