i have a customer who has decided her monitor is too big (she is sight impaired) and rather than getting a smaller monitor she wants to change the viewable size down to that of like a 15" monitor - she is currently using an All-in-One computer, running Windows 11. Most likely the screen will just stretch everything if I drop the resolution down.  I think I might be able to look at underscan/overscan.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I had to do something similar for a bunch of different systems using old displays last year. Over/Underscan is what you need, however you may not get the amount of reduction you require with it. On a 24 inch, you may only get it down to a 20 equivalent. Depends on the original monitor size.

It will depend on what the GPU is to where you need to change the settings and what its called. If Intel you need to go into the Intel Graphics Commander, Display, change the Scale setting to custom, then mess with the sliders. On Nvidia go to the NVidia Control Panel and Adjust desktop size and position, tick enable desktop resizing, then resize with sliders again. Can't remember doing this to AMD but likely some option in their program.
