Sign in to your Microsoft accounts and check the registered devices

Browse to

C:\Users

& list the folders. If you used a Microsoft account initially, the user folder will be the first 8 characters of the user portion (everything in front of the @ symbol) of the email address.

They had a 15 character password limit at one stage, can't remember  if it applied to logging in to Microsoft accounts on PC's but could be worth trying your truncated password (first 15 characters).
