I am trying to install the Windows 7 beta fix installer but I am having some problems...

When it says "Right click on "Command Prompt", then click on "Run as administrator" I right clicked but there is no "Run as administrator" option ? There is a run with parameters or a run as..what do I do next ? Thanks

1. Select and copy the following to your clipboard:

reg delete HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions /va /f

2. Click on “Start”, then “All Programs”, then “Accessories”

Right click on “Command Prompt”, then click on “Run as administrator”
In the UAC prompt, verify that the program’s name is “Windows Command Processor” and then click “Yes”
Right click on the “Administrator: Command Prompt” window’s black area, then select “Paste”
Press “Enter”, you should see “The operation completed successfully”.
If you see “ERROR: Access is denied”, please make sure you followed Step 3.

Close the “Administrator: Command Prompt window”
This script above simply removes the configuration change, and will prevent future CEIP related crashes. The above fix is permanent, and will only need to be run once.

I haven't played with 7 yet, but I'm guessing you would do run as and then execute it under Administrator credentials.  I could be completely wrong though.

click the "start" icon
type "cmd" - in the "search programs and files" search window - right click on the result displayed
namely cmd.exe and choose Run as Administrator

You probably have UAC turned off or something. you may already have admin rights, so just try running the installer.

If that fails, you need to use the "Run As..." option that you said was there, and enter the Administrator credentials in the dialog that will pop up.
