I have a file on a computer i am fixing and i ran into nsiggyre.dll file. I ran malwarebytes on it and it would not remove it. I was wondering if anyone knows if it's a file that I need on the computer. I dont want to remove the file and something crashes. I tried to look it up but couldnt find any information.

Where on your PC is the file located?

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

It's not a system file, but may be related to another piece of software you have installed or it could be malicious. Symantec etc have nothing about it on their sites, so if it is malicious they don't know about yet!

If you can, move it to your temp folder then reboot. If you can't move it, add an extra extension so it looks something like nsiggyre.dll.old and reboot - you'll be able to move it after this.

Do not delete it in case you have some software which needs it.

Can you upload the file here? I can take a look at it and let you know if it's safe to remove and/or if it's malicious. (You can host it on rapidshare.com or similar)

Have you run Combofix?
It looks dodge to me, I'd say if it were malicious, you'd have trouble just deleting it.
Combofix is your friend.
