My laptop is connected to a domain, and i need to format Windows Vista.

Only problem is, I cant add it back to the domain myself

So is there a way to backup the Domain settings (into a reg file, or something similar) and then just import those when i do a clean install of Windows?

Any help on this will be very much appreciated. I really dont want to have to bother my IT department again - I've already had them configure my new laptops (a new one every couple of weeks, courtesy of Dell's fauty parts)

This one is also faulty, and is being send back in a few weeks for another new one; but until then, I need to reinstall windows.

no can do man - your domain membership is based around your computers SID, new install... new SID

Having said that I have never joined a PC to a domain via a .reg hack - might give that a try and let you know how I get on.
