I dont expect much difference from the RC myself.... Im actually downgrading back to XP for a while. I like Win7 but for some reason, games suffer badly in it. (Medium gamer)

Counterstrike Source stutters (tried it on 5 diff machines at a LAN and all had same problem), CoD4 has similar issue but not as noticeable, Grid runs a lot slower...... maybe once official and well tested video drivers appear Ill try again but not for at least 6 months.

Yep. Downloaded from MSDN over the weekend and installed yesterday on my new laptop. I've received a HP dv6 with Windows Vista so I upgraded to SP2 and waited for a week for the RTM to be on MSDN - didn't want to install RC for just one week.

I've done an in-place upgrade, and it's working on Windows 7 RTM now. It took some time, not as fast as a fresh install, but seeing this is a brand new system I decided to give it a go.

My Media Center will be running RC until it expires then I will update it to RTM too.

Very interesting concept - perhaps deservers its own thread. I can then ask some questions there about it.

I performed an inplace upgrade of my vista SP2 yesterday - 3 hours later my domain connected machine was up and running, so painless it hurt!

I did have to remove my copy of "Sandboxie" so I wonder if there is an issue with "application virtualisation"?

Off to find the latest version of Trend AV...

The only issue I have had is a bluescreen when moving files over the network - problem was caused by Symantec Endpoint Protection. Uninstalled and no more bluescreens - will try AVG tonight.

Everything's working well for me so far (64-bit version). Windows Update was champing at the bit as soon as I installed it, which made me laugh.

I have Windows 7 RTM x64 up and running with Office 2010 Tech Preview. Blogged my experiences so far and it is a big step forward. I think the guys at Microsoft have really done some good work. Can't say I tear in my eye when I removed Vista...
