Have just started using remote for iphone. Seems to work well controling computer itunes.

What I want to do, is have my computer plugged into my stereo, tidyed away, and control my music via iphone (or ipod touch). That part, I can do.

Then, I want my laptop plugged into a second stereo downstairs, and have it play everything the computer is playing.

Baaaasically, I want to be able to use my laptop as airtunes. I do not want to buy airtunes, because I have very little use of this, but would like to be able to do it from time to time!!

Does anyone have any bright ideas?

Cheers guys

iTunes9 allows media library sharing. This means your laptop can connect and view all songs on the other iTunes install and play them.

Is this sufficient?

Hmm no probably not. What I would like to be able to do is pretty much have my ipod control both stereos at once.

Change the song on my ipod, it changes on both computers.

I know VLC has this kind of functionality.... but have no idea how to do it.

Can itunes?
