This is my first post and i really am not sure if i have put this in the right forum but my CD tray on my HP laptop has recently just started opening every now and then just out of the blue. I have also just yesterday done a fresh full system restore on it and its still happening.....any ideas, is my cd drive shagged?

Thanks

System restore from a restore point ? Or a complete re-installation ? I've heard of virus / malware doing similar tricks.
If you have restored from a restore point, then you may still be infected.
Do a full system virus scan, and also run a malware detection app - like Malware Bytes, also full scan.
