i use internet explorer 8 and over the past week or two when i press ctrl-T for a new tab the screen has changed. it used to give me about 8 choices of web pages i use a lot. this is good for me. but now it has changed and i don't know why. now it says "what do you want to do next" and gives the option of reopening closed tabs, browse with inprivate, and use an accelerator. i don't think i want any of these 3 options, i want what used to be there! how do i get this screen to go back to what it used to be? i didn't change the settings, and its very unlikely my 2 year old did! help!

If your keyboard has a F-Lock key I think you will find it is locked. Press it and try again.

That's why I said 'if' because not all keyboards have it. If you are using a Microsft keyboard for example it would be on top right closer to PRINTSCRN.

i'm using a hp laptop. i can't see a f-lock key. my 2 year old has changed some settings before though, she isn't allowed to use the laptop but often sneaks on for a minute and presses any and every button! oh what has she done!!!

That's what my IE8s always do. Is there another option?
