Yesterday our PC came up with an error message:

EventType : InPageError P1 : c000007f P2 : 00000003

With this detail:
C:\DOCUME~1\HOMEUS~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4c12.dir00\iexplore.exe.mdmp

C:\DOCUME~1\HOMEUS~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER4c12.dir00\appcompat.txt

IE will not open, very frustrating. I have done a clean manager to clear the temp files again and still no fix. Can anyone help me?. I am using my work laptop in the meantime to get internet access to try and get it fixed!.

Thanks :-)

LunchBox, Are you able to get into Internet Options? (Control Panel > Internet Options)

If you can, navigate to the Advanced tab and click on Reset down the bottom of the page.
That assumes that you are running Internet Explorer 7 or 8

What it will do is reset internet explorer back to default settings which might fix the problem.

Those suggestions are not fix, if not trolling.

Not much information here...

What OS are you running?
What Internet Explorer version?
What antivirus?
Have you ran any full AV scan since then?
Have you restarted your PC?
If you create a new user, does Internet Explorer work for that new user?
What toolbars you have installed?
Have you tried removing those toolbars yet?

See if you have Internet Explorer (No Addons) listed off your start menu somewhere - mines in Accessories -> System Tools. Run that and see if it starts up. If it does then disable all the addons (toolbars etc), close and open it normally.

There is always a catch dam it
